Patients can choose to self fund their treatment if they do not meet the eligibility criteria for NHS funded treatment or do not want to wait for NHS funding to become available before embarking on treatment.
Patients self funding treatment are seen in normal clinics by doctors and nurses who are on duty at the time of their appointment, and need to be referred by either a GP or Hospital to be seen.
