We realise that the difficulties associated with trying to conceive can be stressful. That's why we believe counselling is an integral part of treatment and therefore encourage all couples embarking on treatment to see a counsellor.
Counselling gives support from a trained professional who understands what is involved in your treatment and offers you the time to talk over your options or concerns. Most people find that having someone to discuss this with makes all the difference between feeling stressed and worried, to feeling more able to cope.
All couples have sexual difficulties at times. Some couples find the pressure of not becoming pregnant each month or the 'invasion' caused by infertility investigations and treatment creates temporary sexual problems. One of our counsellors specialises in psychosexual counselling and several of our doctors have also been trained in this area. Please do not feel embarrassed to ask for help.
This service is completely confidential and is offered free of charge.
For more information on counselling please telephone 020 7188 7641 and leave a message.
